I don't wear tampons either, never have! The thought of it just grossed me out too much.
This is gross...but what did me in was when I was in 6th grade I did a summer volleyball camp and the older highschool girls helped out. We were stretching (butterfly stretch) and a bloody string was clearly stuck to the inner thigh of one of the older girls. She noticed about the same time as the rest of us girls and ran off to the bathroom horrified!
I was never going to risk that happening! I was so scared of having an accident I remember wearing 3 pads at once. I did get over that--quickly, so uncomfortable!

Girls, you're too funny. I couldn't stand wearing pads. There's something about the "gushing" feeling you get when you stand up that creeps me out.

I don't like the gushing feeling either but since having kids I have been just wearing pads, don't know why just what I got used to before kids I always wore tampons....

Carrie - oh gross, but funny story!
I wore tampons for maybe 6 months out of my entire life and that was in HS. I don't like the feeling of being "clogged up" - I rather have it free-flowin'.....hee hee
