Okay I will start this one. I love to coupon! I'm not one of those people that they have recently portrayed on Extreme Couponing, but I love to get a good deal. My family used to be embarrassed to go to the store with me, but know they think it is fun to watch that total come down. A guy behind me in line the other day at the grocery store was irritated that it was taking so long for the cashier to scan all of them. When she was done she said congratulated me for saving $100. As I was walking off I heard him say "Wow she saved $100!"
One of these days I will be able to start a rainy day fund with all my savings.

I use coupons too. At first my DH thought it was just something for me to do to occupy my time. He went to the store with me once after I had been using them for a couple months and when we were walking out the door he said "wow, you saved at least twice as much as you spent, I quess it really is worth the time" I have anxiety now if we go to the store without coupons.

My DH and I have come to the conclusion that we spend too much money on groceries, mainly because we shop daily. That has to stop. I am going to start grocery shopping 1 x/week and try to not go back, I think we will spend much less money that way. We also buy in bulk at Costco and that helps! I also want to start couponing! I used to think oh saving a couple of cents here and there, big deal, but you know if you think about the savings over a years time it really can add up!

Yes I'd love to know where you get your coupons. I have gotten them from the newspaper before but do you have favorite coupon websites too?

I would love to coupon more than I do, but we almost exclusively buy organics, and shop mostly through wholesale (costco and azurestandard.com). There don't seem to be many coupon options for what we buy, and where we shop. I guess we're saving money shopping where we do though, so hopefully that's making up a little bit for the lack of coupons.

I get some from the paper, but I print a lot from the internet too. Coupons.com, redplum.com, smartsource.com, and couponnetwork.com are the main sites I print from. Allyou.com also has some exclusive coupons on their site.
The best way to use coupons is to match them to a sale. If you have a grocery store near you that doubles coupons that is even better. There are several sites out there that will match the coupons and sales for you each week for a variety of stores. My favorite site is southersavers.com. She matches coupons for grocery stores and drug stores. Her site gives a link to the printable coupons and even allows you to create a shopping list with the coupon match up. Another free site to use to match up the sales is couponmom.com. Before I started this method of couponing I would most often buy the store brand because it was cheaper. Now I buy most name brand stuff and get it really cheap or free. I very rarely pay full price for anything anymore.

Leslie - there is a site that has links for some organic food coupons. Not sure if it will be helpful or not. It is organicfoodcoupons.com. A couple of others that I found are earthfare.com, mambosprouts.com. and wholefoodsmarket.com.

I'm Diana and I am a Couponer. Lol
I'm not one of the crazy coupon ladies either, but I know how to save some money. Last week the store here had double coupon week. This one in particular (Harris Teeter if you are in the South) does a lot of buy 2, get 3 free deals too. So I had double coupons and the BOGO or B2G3 and I saved $75 on 2 weeks worth of groceries, only spending $104. I used to do better, to the point they had to call the manager over and OK my purchase because I saved so much, but DH and YSD need to be Gluten Free, so it limits some of our options now.
I get my coupons from all the sites mentioned above, but also from one called Couponbug. They email me a new list every Thursday.

No stores in my area do double coupon days! I had always heard about it and seriously had some obscene fantasies about them--like saving obscene amounts of money!!!!
Still bitter...my couponing had gone by the way side, but I am starting to get the fever...
