I do not smoke but my DH has for years. He has tried to quit off and on before with no success. I think you you have to get to a place in your head, you know, ready to quit and actually want it. In the past he has not really acted like he WANTED TO. I am so happy to say that DH on his own said he was quitting and is on day 2 no smokes. I know it's just day two but he is doing sooo great. Yesterday he was a bit moody but today is better. In the past when he tried to quit he was so moody and shaky. I'm not sure what's going on but he seems ok this time around. I am sure it is hard still but I think getting to that place of being 'ready' is really helping him! Sorry to go on and on, but had to share, I am just so happy about it!

Oh Jen, that's amazing!! I'm really praying that he has the strength to keep it up, and stay off of them forever!

Jen - my dh quit 3 weeks ago. He was horrible to be around the first week. One night he was in such a horrible mood, and me not thinking asked him what was wrong. He said you should know you did this to me! This was his response because I've been nagging him for years to quit. He started smoking about 3 years after we were married. I had to quickly come back and tell him I didn't do it to him, that he did it to himself. I didn't hold a gun to his head and force him to START smoking to begin with.

Jenn - that is sooo awesome!! That should help with sperm quality and that is great! I've been reading about what smoking and drinking does to fertility. It proves how much he cares. I'm happy for you!

Hey Jen, I quit smoking years ago and it was the most difficult thing I ever did. I had failed so many times before the change became permanent. Honestly, I needed medication and lots of prayer to finally kick the habit for good. I love it because now I can run without coughing up a lung!
