So, I'm really new to this, but love seeing the correspondence you guys all have between each other so, after reading and mildly participating, I thought I'd join in!
A little about me . . . I'm 35, and my DH will be 40 in March. We just got married October 24th, 2010, and have been together since 2007. I have 2 awesome(I'm a LITTLE biased!) children from my first marriage that are 10 and 8. My DH has a son that will be 8 in 2 weeks. During my first marriage, I always wanted more children, but knew I just wasn't with the right person to do that. My DH and his ex-wife had their son, and he had his V when he was 6 months old. He wanted more children, but his ex said there was no way she could do that to her body again(she's a runner . . . and that all I'm going to say), and since he thought they'd stay married, he agreed to the V. He really regrets it now. From the time our relationship became serious, we talked about the VR but wanted to wait until after we were married. Well, it's been a few months, so now it's time! We're having a little trouble narrowing it down to which dr we want to use. We're torn between Dr. Daniels, who's pretty close, and Dr. Roeder in Texas. I've noticed alot of you give Dr. Roeder great reviews, but I don't know very much about what kind of VR pg rates his patients have? Dr. Daniels seems to have good VR pg rates, but I wonder if his patients are just more vocal? HELP!!!! ;D
You guys are all so supportive and helpful, which is great to see! So many people don't understand what it's like to want to conceive, especially when you already have children. My family isn't very supportive, since they feel like I've already got 2 children that are older, and that me and my dh are borderline too old also, so I don't really discuss the VR with them at all. It doesn't help that my sister is pg and due in May with a totally surprise pregnancy. So, I really only discuss the VR with my DH, and at this point he really just wants to pick the dr and date and schedule the surgery!
I'm really glad I was invited to this board, and I'm learning alot by reading all of your posts! Thanks so much, ladies!!!! I look forward to any advice you all might have!!!!
