Hmm, not afterwards but i do know while DH's testicles were swollen his penis was also bruised and swollen. Was it swollen then too or just now?

No no bruising or swelling there right after, not until today. And the bruising on his testicles is subsiding.

You probably already have, but I would call the doctor and ask. Was he given antibiotics to take after the VR as a precaution? It could be just the body redistribution fluids, but 6 days out that sounds suspicious, best to talk to a professional, the worst thing that could say it it is normal!

My DH said he never had anything like that. I would really recommend getting ahold of the dr, and definitely keep a close eye out for infection. It doesn't sound normal to me...but then again, when it comes to a body's recovery, I'm not sure there is such a thing as "normal".

I would definitely call. Dr. H said a little bruising on the penis is normal, but to have swelling and/or a pocket of fluid is a definite call, or better send him a pic in an email and he will get back to you ASAP

Ok, so Dr. H got back to us and called it an "edema", which is perfectly normal. It's extra fluid in the tissues and it will resolve on it's own. Wow, the different circumstances that are declared "normal"! No pain, just a little uncomfortable. Thanks for the input gals!

ha ha - I thought you guys would like that! My DH's penis is a good size already, so I wouldn't be able to tell if it did swell, BUT the shaft was purple and black for about 1 week.

Ha, I wouldn't be complaining! :-) Except it's abnormal! Getting on it's way to being better.
So today it seems that one testicle is fine and you can feel it to be normal size, the other one is the size of a pickle! Anyone with that experience? Geez the questions never end....

Yea - the "boys" will go thru their cycles of looking funny. Big, little, black, purple, hard around the incision area (that will soften).... a heating pad helped my DH's boys drop. They had been "sucked up" since VR. He was scared. LOL
