I logged into my BBC account today for the first time in about 6 months and I was surprised to have a message from Jen. This board seems like a great idea, and I'm looking forward to meeting some new ladies, and catching up with some "long timers."
I'm Diana (28) and my DH is (38). We are just over the one year mark for our reversal. We used Dr. Wilson and we are one of the unlucky couples that have a zero sperm count. I took a long break from the boards because I didn't want to face the reality of it anymore. It's such a horrible feeling knowing that the one thing you want isn't going to turn out how you always hoped. I shut down internally. Just didn't care about anything anymore. It was a rough 6 months.
But alas, we are moving on. DH and I are going to try using a donor, hopefully in March. It's been a long road to get to this point, but I feel like this is the only option we can afford, and even then it's going to be a struggle.
So that's where things stand with me. I am glad to answer questions or help anyone where I can. Even if it's just a virtual shoulder to cry on.

Hi Diane. Sorry about the zero, but yay for a plan. What bank are you going to use?
We had an early SA with bad numbers (basically were told IVF with ICSI or nothing) and Dh now has low end of normal testosterone that might be affecting things, and I got hit with heart problems, but those will be gone in 2 wks hopefully.

Most likely Fairfax. I've narrowed it down to 2 that I think are a good match, although DH wants neither one of us to know anything about the donor. Just don't think that's possible. know what I mean?
Sorry about the SA #'s. Maybe with some time it will improve

Hi Diana! We haven't dealt with a zero count, but we're one of the unlucky ones on the opposite side; we have sperm but can't seem to get pg anyways. I wish you the best of luck with DS, and hope that you get a BFP on your first round!

Hi Diana! I remember you I'm sorry about the zero, too, but glad to hear you have a plan. We are also over a year out and still holding onto hope. Good to see you here.

Hi Diana - I remember you from the other board! Good luck with the donor sperm. I think it's a really great option. If I was going through all this trying for my first, you can bet I would be doing it!
