Hello, everyone!
Those of you that came here from the original TTC after VR BBC Board will probably remember me - I was a pretty active poster over there. My BBC screen name is #2dueinAug - it's from when I was pregnant with my DS.
I'm also one of the original "Longhaulers". Not my favorite group to be a part of, but since I adore the other long haulers, it's not unbearable.
Lots of you have heard my story, I'm sure! Feel free to skip it! I just can't help but tell it, lol!
My story:
My DH and I were high school sweethears. We went to college together (about 2 hours away from home) when we graduated. After a lot of family drama (with HIS family, not mine!) we ended up moving back home from school. Matt asked me to marry him (I think to show his parents who was REALLY in charge!) and we got married when we were both 19.
DD, Tessa, was born when we were 22. It took us 8 months of not being on birth control before we got pregnant with her. I wouldn't call it "trying"...just not preventing.
When we decided to have another, I was a lot more serious about "trying". DS was conceived out second month trying
I had an awful pregnancy with him - was in a car accident and on bedrest the whole time - DH was very worried and decided we were done having kids. My Asher (DS) was born in August, and the vasectomy was scheduled for September. I had second thoughts, but DH brushed them off, and I let him. I still regret that. My DH does almost anything I ask! If I had been more forceful about it, he never would have had the vasectomy.
Within a year I knew I wasn't going to get over it - I wanted another baby. We discussed it for a LONG time. DH was perfectly willing to have a VR done - in fact, he suggested it. I just couldn't commit to the money, knowing it wasn't a sure thing...
We had our VR April 1, 2009.
We've taken a few cycles off from trying - 2 or 3 months that we haven't tried at all, and 2 or 3 months that we haven't tried very hard.
Still, it's been nearly 2 years. I find it more and more difficult to stay positive about our chances. In general, I'm an optimist. When it comes to TTC, though, I'm fading a bit.
That's me! Nice to meet you all
