Ok, so absolutely no spotting today, however i broke down and tested tonight and BFN. No faint line or anything. Anyone had BFN all the way till right when AF was due? No spotting never happens for me and cycle is always 28 days. Now I'm just confused. Phwehhh, this is just why I planned to not test! Just going to wait it out and see what happens from here.

Christie, how many DPO are you, and how long is your LP normally? I've had negative tests come up days, and even weeks, after my missed period when I was in fact pregnant. With my second child, I didn't get a + pregnancy test result back until I was about 2 weeks late, and I had taken MULTIPLE home and blood tests during that time. So it definitely can be negative while early on in the pregnancy.

Hey Leslie! Well, I don't track exactly. But like I said my cycle's are always 28 days and I usually get a +O on cd12 or cd13. SO my last period started Feb 6 and that would make today CD28. Another unusual thing, I usually spot 2-4 days prior to AF. Still have nothing. Suggestions? Is it possible that I o'd way differently this month than previously? SO confused. With my other kids I didn't know I was pregnant till much later in the first trimester, so I have nothing to compare to on how early I test. Just really surprised I haven't seen anything yet.

Christie, it's very possible that you O'd later this month than normal. I had this same problem when I was 5 days late after not having a cycle longer than 28 days for over a year. It's the #1 reason that I decided to start using OPK again and to start temping. It did such a number on me to not know if I was late because I was pg or just because I had O'd late.
I truly HOPE for you that you're late because you're pg, but if not, then I would highly recommend using OPKs and/or temping. I thought doing those would make this a lot more stressful, but for me it really takes a lot of the stress off because I know for sure what's going on with my body.

Ah well. Thanks for your input Leslie. I really didn't want this to consume me which is why i chose not to track, but i think after all the thought i put into it this month i may change my mind for the next time. I guess I took for granted that my cycle was like clockwork. Keep you posted if something changes! :-)

Hey Christie, I had a longer than usual cycle the first month out from the VR and we were not really trying so I was a little confused by it. I agree with Leslie that you may have O'd later which is SO common the first cycle after the VR. I have NO idea why that is, but I heard so many women say the same thing (on Babycenter). Mandy - Are you going to test again?

Christie- could you have O'd late?
On odd cycle after VR, all I can think is that it is stress related. My cycle the month of VR (AF started 2 days before the VR) was a 44 day anovulatory. Really sucked

I think you're right about it being due to stress, Kirsten.
Ok, so I KNOW I am only 5 or 6dpo, but I have to tell you ladies this because I can't help but be hopeful this cycle...I got heartburn today, am still feeling cramping (uterine stretching) and have TMI lots of cm (need a pantiliner). These are the same symptoms I had with my BFP last October. I remember thinking then how odd I would get heartburn because that is typically a 3rd trimester issue (although never for me). I RARELY get heartburn and did not eat anything spicey today so I can't help but overanalyze this, lol! All I need is a pg dream and that will be it. I will be CONVINCED I am pg.
