There are mixed feelings about him. He is very skilled but his personability can be questionable. His price is 1700.00 and you must be under 9 yrs from V. microvasreversal.com/

My DH wasn't pleased with him after the phone consult to say the least, thought he was very rude. We are still going with him due to the price and he seems to have had many successful VRs. I am also hoping that he won't be as bad in person. DH said as long as he gets the job done then that is what we are paying for. I just hope he doesn't end up ticking hubs off, that could make for an unpleasant couple of days!

We didn't use him but yeah, have heard he has a very dry personality and his bedside manner if off, but with that being said does really seem to be a great surgeon! I have seen so many BFP's come from his work!

my husband didnt think he was so great either as far as personality. DH called him a robot. But he's a good surgeon. We are glad it went well and hope it works!

I've heard the same things....BUT all you want is his skilled hands. Good thing you don't have to live with him. LOL.

I just went to Dr. Wilson's website, and can not believe his price! My DH is pretty nervous just thinking about having the procedure done, so I think bedside manner will be the least of his worries! Does anyone know if Dr. Wilson performs vv and ve? I'm planning on calling today, but I wake up early and I'm sooooo impatient!!!! Especially knowing that the VR is really going to happen this year!!!

Dr W wouldn't operate on DH bc he was right at the 9 year mark. He was very quick to respond but did't offer much info thrugh email. Told us to set up a phone conf, which we waited 1.5 months for only to be told in the first minute that he wouldn't want to perform the procedure on DH. Really dude??? We waited a month and a half for you to say that? I was pissed! Anyways, it all worked out, we found DR H and DH was more than comfortable with his demeanor on the phone as well as in person. Dr. W has quite a following, but if you don't fall perfectly into his time frame to keep his great stats your out of luck. I just wish he would have told us this in the intital email I sent. He does not perform perform vv or ve's. You might want to look at Dr. Roeder or Dr. Hickman who charges just a bit more, $2500 who can perform anything needed.

Cynnywd, Dr. Wilson only does VVs. Let us know what you decide!

Thanks so much!!! Trying to research dr's is starting to get really overwhelming!!! I think Dr. Wilson may be out of the running for us, even though his cost is great. I'm just worried that DH will need a ve, and want to go to a dr that can do both.

CWD, the DR. search is maddening! My DH impression of him after the phone call was "RUDE!" We decided that we would go with him due to price and my DH refuses to go elsewhere--not sure why. We are only just over 5 years. I sent Dr. W. an email with a list of questions, like a questionnaire and he responded to every question by the next day, but with only 1-3 word responses. We would love to have another baby, but are of the feeling that if it doesn't happen then it is God's will. We sort of are looking at it as a redemption and will gladly welcome any gift God blesses us with. This will be a harder status to maintain once we are TTC!

We were 10.5 years out and used Dr. Roeder. $3,000 is very reasonable and he is wonderful:-) He also does VE, if you need it. Make sure to pick a Dr. that does both VV AND VE (very important). You can make payments up front (less painful) - we sent $1,000/month for 3 months. It was nice to have it paid OFF before we had it done. One less thing to worry about.

Dr. Wilson is out of the running at this point. My Dh's V is about 8 years old, and I really feel like we should see a dr that does both vv and ve, just to be on the safe side. Which has us narrowed down to Dr. Roeder and Dr. Hickman. My DH is leaning a little towards Dr. Daniels since he's only a 3 hour drive, but as I've been looking up airfare, going to Texas wll still be cheaper, especially since DH has lots of hotel and rental car rewards for all the travel he does for work. Tiff, we were wondering about making payments before the actual surgery date so that it would be paid for before we got there. One less thing to worry about! Carrie, I completely understand what you're saying about being blessed with another child. That's one of the things my DH and I have talked about is how blessed we are just to be able to afford the VR at all. 2 years ago this was a very distant dream for me, and I never imagined we'd be in this place! I SAY that once we have it done, we'll let God's will be done, but that's pretty easy to say right now! Thanks, you guys!!! Cindy

Cindy I think almost any dr will set up pre-srugery payment plans with you, go more with who you feel comfortable with than anything.

Cindy - if you end up going to Texas, you can get a discount at The Microtel Inn. We paid 48/night.

Nope, not me on FB! I don't know anyones real names yet! My husband travels a lot for work, so we've got a TON of Marriott rewards points and Hertz rental car rewards, also. So, we're hoping no matter where we go, we'll only have to pay for food and airfare!!! Thanks for the info, though! We can't schedule anything until we at least get our state tax refund, so that gives us time to do some more research and pray about which dr to choose. After that, if we still don't know, I think I'm going to eenie-meenie-miney-mo it!
