Hello ladies! It's nice to see so many familiar faces on this board! Where to start?!? DH had his VR in Oct 2010 (V in May 2005). At the time of V we were stationed in Japan and I was having a lot of female issues so the 3 different opinions that I got were that either my husband or I had to get "fixed" because it wasn't safe for me to get pregnant. I had unexplained bleeding with all three of my pregnancies (my second, a baby boy, I lost at 20 weeks due to excessive bleeding) and had several blood transfusions because of it. I'm not a hemophilliac if that's what you're wondering, but when I'm pregnant my blood doesn't coagulate the way it's supposed to. Anyway, fast forward to 2008 and I become seriously depressed because I want another child. I love children and always wanted a good half dozen so my husband and I started looking at adoption. During this process, I went for my annual exam at the Navy Clinic (they schedule these with whoever is available) and it turned out my doctor was a civillian OB/GYN, under contract with the Navy, who knew quite a bit about infertility. He ran a gambit of tests, several internal & external u/s, and a biopsy and it turns out that I have something called menorrhagia (aka excessive bleeding) and I can SAFELY have children so long as the doctors know ahead of time. And to make a long story short, DH finally agreed to have the VR and we are on our way to TTC!

How wonderful you found this out! Sometimes we put our trust in one doctor and end up making pressured decisions that are not necessary! I too was pressured due to PIH. I found out later after the V that my BP was never in dangerous levels only in the *warning* zone. Had it ever been as serious as i was led to believe medication and or a high risk OBGYN would have been recommended! Carrie
