Hi! I was starting to wonder where some of the well known gal's had disappeared to! Good to see familiar names.
My story- I married my DH 3 years ago, with 3 kids of my own and him having 2. A blended family of 5 was more than enough and thoughts of expanding blew me away, so was not even talked about! Last year, our feelings began to change and the thought of sharing something that united our family as a whole began to consume us. We took baby steps the entire way to ensure that this was possible, financially, physically and here we are 1 week away from the VR! The entire process so far seems to have been destined, which makes things very reassuring.
I quit my "corporate" job a year and a half ago, not only to spend more time with my kids but to give us the option to move forward with our plans. I watch 6 babies out of my home as my new job. I love it, it provides the income I need, the time with my family I desired and the stress that I used to have gone! I will not be traveling with my DH to his surgery next week,1/26. That makes me a little bonkers right now, however I have faith that all will go well. It was a hard decision to make, but he was adamant about wanting it done now and him being able to handle himself. I have taken all precautions and have him set up as best as possible with flight, room, etc....He will be visiting his grandmother the day before who lives nearby, so if absolutely necessary she could help him, even though she thinks its a business trip. Only positive thoughts from here! :-)
