We've heard mixed reiews about taking any supplements the week prior to surgery. Dr. Hickman told DH it was fine. Is it true that other Dr's recommend stopping? What were your Dr's orders?

Our Dr. said no vitamins at all for 2 weeks before surgery, especially with Vit E in it as E can act as a blood thinner. Also no ibuprofen.

Thanks, see that make me worry. I'm going to tell him to stop taking tomorrow. I've heard such conflicting opinions. Do not want to take any chances.

sportykids, Dr H told us it was ok and DH had no complications. Honestly I had surgery for a ovarian tumor and they never told me to stop vitamins, and my YDD was never told that with her heart surgeries.
Dr. H just told us to take fertilaid for men to increase sperm, so make sure to take it at least right after the VR

I know Dr. H confirmed that it was fine, but never the less he stopped taking it until after. I just didn't understand why some Dr's say it's fine and others say absolutely not! It's the same ingredient's they're looking at. Play it safe is my motto! LOL. He'll start right after again. Thanks for all the input!

It's confusing, believe me. Alot of the Docs do completely different things, but they all have their reasons.
Being alseep/awake Medications Refraining from DTD Icing - etc...
I would do what your Dr. tells you, at least that is what we chose. :-)
