Beer Bread
1 12 oz bottle or can of beer, room temp 2 tbs sugar 3 cups self rising flour 3 tbs melted butter (I use the real stuff)
Mix the beer, sugar and flour together in a bowl just until blended don't overmix. Pour into a loaf pan and pour the melted butter on top.Bake at 350 for 40 -60 minutes or until golden brown. This tastes just like the tastefully simple (some people think you need to add a little extra sugar) mixes and my family and all of my friends expect this at all gatherings. They all love it! There are tons of variations and you can substitute the beer with any carbonated beverage, I have used 7up before and it came out good. I have also added fresh garlic and cheese while mixing and it is good like that too.
