Hi all....VR update. Day 3 and all is still well. The swelling is stll pretty large and discoloration still covers majority of area. Went back to work last night and back at it tonight. He's adjusting his lifting load and protecting the goods at all cost around our kids, which is pretty funny to watch. We have 3 boys that are pretty rough and tough with DH and have been asking him to go throw the football all day now. Today he had a "headache" and tomorrow will have another ailment to think of. That's the hardest part for him. Just figured out that the day that it would be "ok" for him to DTD is the when I should be startin my cycle. Aint that some luck!
Shel- I agree, I'm pretty much off BBC for TTC, but I do like the "Debt Free' board and a couple other recipe boards. I check in here for th TTC advice. Good luck next week, have fun!
Nancy- I'm curious what the differences are between FB and Ferilaid. DH is on Fertiliaid. Maybe just certain dr's endorse certain products. And curious, how do you get more stars? :>
Kews- Girl, you have so many iron's in the fire. Maybe set goals to figure one out at a time, in hopes that will help keep you sane. I'm not sure I'd be able to juggle all of that at once. Medical first, financial and who know's maybe that BFP will show up when your not expecting it. I worry that if that BFP would happen now,you could jepordize your health, which would lead to finances later, all things that would make it a prett shaky pregnancy. I have you in my thoughts, I hope things start to work out soon!

Hi ladies! Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Kirsten - Glad they were able to move the appointment up so you will get some answers soon. I also know what you mean about relationships being so impersonal now. If it weren't for email, texts, and fb I wouldn't have any contact with some of my family, including my father and my son. It hurts sometimes to think that people don't care enough to pick up the phone if for nothing else than to just say hi.
Shel- Yay for dh being able to rearrange his schedule to be home for some baby making. I am so glad things worked out.
Nancy - KMFX that the prednisone works for your dh. Did Dr. R send the Rx for Celebrex too?
Mandy- I just have to tell you that your boys are so adorable! I love the pics that you have of them on facebook.
Sportykids - I hope dh is resting and not overdoing things. Hopefully the next 2 weeks will fly by for y'all so you can get busy ttc.
Hi to EOE. Just hanging around waiting for AF to leave my house. I just hate an unwelcome guest. I tortured myself yesterday and went shopping for baby stuff with my grandma. We were getting some gifts for my cousin who just had a baby girl on Tuesday. I was so depressed when I got home. I just wanted to be buying the stuff for me and not for someone else. Selfish, I know.

you are welcome! I do not know which is better, but I think we will be going with fertilaid. It has a ton of positive reviews from users. The other probably does too, I haven't looked!
I wonder what else would be ideal to add, I don't want to overload and possibly cause other problems!

Sportykids...Hit 50 posts and get your 2nd star Glad your dh is feeling better...won't be long. Carrie...Thanks for the info about fertilaid vs fb. We did fb for awile, but changed to fertilaid about 6 months ago...the reason I switched is because the fertilaid was more expensive so figured it might be better....good reason huh? lol! I am one that probably overloads my dh Cindy...Dr R did send the script for celebrex too. Didn't fill it yet. Just praying for a miracle with the prednisone. KMFX! Sorry AF hasn't left. And also sorry about having to buy baby gift. It is so hard. I have actually bought a few things in hope that it would help give me a more positive attitude about being able to get pg.

Nancy - yay for the scripts! What veggie did you try for me this weekend??
Shel - I'm soooo glad to see you are staying on at least one board. I'm on all three and it's exhausting to say the least. Plus, my DH gets very frusterated with me when I'm on my laptop and not paying attention to him. His daughter is here this weekend, so I'll get away with it for a few days. But, as long as he's getting some, he's allll good:-) Great news about your DH home this week to BD!
Sportykids - Day 3. Seems like forever ago for us. It seems to go slow now, but soon you will wonder where the time went. I'm glad he is doing well.
Carrie - nice to put a name to a face!
Kews - so sorry you are dealing with all this stuff. Maybe tackle one thing at a time so you are not so overwhelmed.
Cut my thumb pretty bad last night and couldn't type, tonight is better and hunting and pecking for keys. I type pretty fast, but I need my thumb. I ordered DH some FB tonight....I got ripped off, but you live and learn. I've been reading ya'll got it for $25/btl with some babydust (too cute). I got mine for #28.95/btl eeekkkk.
Who's Peeing this week? I am! I'm crampy today (that never happens at any DPO for me) and I'm not one to "think" I'm pg every month. I will refrain from POAS too early and getting BFN's. It will be hard tho:-0 I bought some cheapies and a digi until AF does or doesn't come. Off to read what I've missed in a day in a half.....:-)

Hi Tiff, you POAS this week, right? Eeekk! I can't wait for you to get that BFP! I am sneaking on here while DH is working on the taxes. I have to be around just to answer questions. I have always done the taxes in past years, but since he has to file in 3 different states, I asked him to do them this year. It's good for him to get involved in these things every now and then. I have a stack of papers to grade too, so I can't spend too much time on here. My DH just wants me to tone it down with all my online activity. I haven't been on FB for days (that is a total time waster for me). I just could not keep up with all those boards on Baby Center and everyone here was beginning to get annoyed with me trying. I will miss so many of those ladies, though:( I'm glad I have all of you ladies here, though!
C - I never looked at my DH when he was bruised (can't handle that sort of thing), but he described it as being "pretty mangled" for the first week or so. He took a whole bunch of vitamins: Vit E, L-argitine, L-carnitine, B-complex, multi-vitamin, selenium, CoQ10, and Vitamin C. We had his first SA done at 11 months (during our RPL work up) and his numbers were fantastic: 185million, 77%motility and normal morphology. He also took 600mg ibuprofin for a few months following the VR (DH says at least 3 months) to prevent swelling). That seemed to be a good concoction for him. He has now trimmed back to a multivitamin, ginsing, Vitamin C, and 2 Fertility Blend/day and a B100 Complex with Folic Acid. I am on a prenatal, daily baby aspirin, and an extra 800mcg of Follic acid. I've also recently eliminated sugar and caffeine from my diet. I'm not sure if you wanted to know all that, but I really do think all the vitamins helped him heal and produce a bunch of healthy sperm. We got our first BFP on our 4th cycle of trying, but I can tell you that was also our first cycle he was home for O...just sayin'. I hope you get a quick BFP!
Cindy - I can relate. There have been so many of my friends that have gotten/are pg this past year which means lots of baby shopping. I am truly happy for them, but definitely look forward to shopping for my own some day:) Hope AF packs her bags soon and doesn't come back for quite a while;)
Nancy-Yay for finally getting that script! I can't believe you guys had to wait so long. Hopefully, your DH's numbers are low due to swelling and the prednisone is all that is needed. I'm praying that is the case so that you can become a mommy soon!
So, the BD marathon begins today! Of course, we dtd when he came home late Friday, but that is because we haven't seen each other in a week;) My OPKs haven't come in the mail due to a weather delay, but I'm thinking we'll just keep BDing all week since he'll be in town anyway. I'm so excited and have been praying that this is our month for a sticky bean. I told God I don't want a BFP if it's not meant to stick - hopefully He answers that prayer by blessing us with a rainbow baby:) I know it's all up to Him, but I'm just making my requests known (Phil 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.")
Hello to EOE - I'm thinking about ALL you ladies and praying that we see some BFPs on here VERY soon!

Shel, I love that verse. It a great reminder that God wants to hear what we want. It's okay to ask Him for our hearts' desires. Thanks for sharing that. ((hugs)) I truly hope that God hears your pleas, and blesses your womb with a sticky bean.

Thanks Cindy. I couldn't help but look! It really is like a train wreck! Worse than I imagined it looking. I think there has been a signifcant difference in size since yesterday! Horray!
Has anyone ever heard of Advocare? We have been Advocare user's for about 8 years now. It's an elite product line of health and nutrition. DH takes the following Key Ingredients: Vitamins A, C, D, E, B-6, B-12, folic acid, niacin, riboflavin, omega-3 fatty acids, astaxanthin, calcium, citrus flavonoids, green tea extract, lutein, lycopene, guarana, biotin, oolong tea, taurine, magnesium, chromium, Probiotic Culture, fructooligosaccharides. It seems like a lot but it's really tied into 12 capsules. He's been taking these for years. I hope by him following his norma routine we are toucing upon all the right areas!
A BD marathon sounds great right about now! It's been 6 days without and I'm really feeling it! Sad. It's hard to go from a hearty sex life to nada! Funny story...I was bent down cleaning up spilled peas under highchairs Friday and DH kindly asked if I could get up and stop a second. Confused, I got up and walked over to him thinking he was going to tell me something and he whispered "can you please not get on all 4' like that"! I started to laugh but he was serious! Too funny, so I got the broom and swept up the peas.
DH works overnight and then is off for 3 days. He's definitely increased his amount of work with having to watch his lifting limits. He works in the lab of a grain elevator and is constantly filling up buckets to grade and dumping. He can only let the bucket fill 2 scoops, which doubles the workload. But he's managing. Since this promtion there is no vacation time till May, so he has to make due.
The homily today was about humility. Very awesome passage, rejuvenates your soul when you let it sink in fully. My YDS is now punished for the day, why is it so hard for 6 year olds to kneel when asked??? Anyway, beautiful baby girl in front of me in her long white christening gown, made me tear up, what a special time!
Off to make groceries in the rain, yuckkk!

Kirsten, I hope youre feeling ok and I am so glad those tests are behind you. Now just waiting for the results which I know is hard. I am thinking of you! Oh and I agree about FB, although I wont be leaving anytime soon. It is the only way I keep up with some of the people in my life. We are all so busy.
sportykids, Just hang in there! You will be BD so much you will kind of look forward to the breaks. HAHA about getting on the floor to pick something up! Your hubby is funny!
Cindy, Thank you about my boys! I think they are pretty cute too.
As for me, just waiting not so patiently to pee on a stick. I am trying to be hopeful of course. But we will see. It is only our first time trying since the VR last month. I have to say it is a little exciting to know that we have that chance to get pg now! I am going to the dr tomorrow to have blood drawn. They want to check if I am ovulating. Which I am pretty sure I am but my dr said it doesnt hurt to check. I will test on Wednesday. Gosh I am nervous. I hope and pray for those two lines. Tiff, I think you test the day before I do.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It is so nice to talk to all of you about this! Mandy

Leslie - It's one of my faves, too:) C-I smiled when I read your post. My DH was VERY ready for some release soon after the VR. So, be prepared, lol! Mandy - How many dpo are you? Maybe you could have the dr check for hcg while they're testing for progesterone to see if you o'd?
