Hey girls, thought I would start this thread tonight in case i cannot make it on tomorrow, I cannot believe it is February already!!! Here is my last post on the January thread in case you missed it: -- Hey girls! Just wanted to pop on real quick, sorry I wasn't on much today. We are preparing for a horrible ice storm here in the St. Louis area, they are saying 1" of ice here where we are and then 8-12" snow on top of that and winds, yikes, scary. So we have been preparing, stocked the house with food hoping and praying the power doesn't go out. If I am not on much in the next day or two that is because of power outages I pray that doesn't happen though! I have confidence in Leslie though, she is here for ya guys if I am MIA for a day or two I'll pop in as I can tomorrow- HUGS!! Hope everyone is well and I will do persies very soon

Hi all - the other thread is closed and I lost all my persies, soooo it looks like we have to start over. They will be short and sweet:-)
Sporty - yikes on the bunkbeds, I'm so happy everyone is OK.
Nancy - Let me know how you think the Prog is working out. Does he have to take it on a full stomach? I've also bought baby "stuff" - just clothes, but feeling like I'm going to put a curse on myself for doing so.
Jen - KUP on the ice storm! Be careful and try not to leave the house. I'm glad your DS had a great Bday!
WF - Where are you?? 2nd IUI coming up!
Shel - Your attitude is just so uplifting and heartfelt. Girl, it's your year, I know it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!
AFM - I had a hard weekend. My SD basically ignored me the entire weekend. While DH and I were doing our taxes in the front room, she stayed in her room. When I had to leave to run errands, she got all happy and acted like she had just won the lotto. I had to pull all the strength that I could from deep down to move past it. I'm better now, the weekend is over and she is back at her moms.
I POAS on Wednesday, but want to wait until Friday. We'll see how I feel Wednesday morning I guess. I hate getting my hopes up and then being let down. BUT, that's what this journey is ALL about, right?? I'm not sure what I'd do without all of you. Thank you for being here. We all need our cheerleaders!

No worries at all:-)
Has the storm hit yet?? I can't wait to move to the midwest and actually have seasons. All we have is Summer and Winter, which isn't really Winter. It rained today for a total of 10 mins:-( I wish it would rain ALL day:-)

Where in the midwest are you moving too? Maybe you mentioned it somewhere...
The seasons are nice and they suit my tendency to get bored easily, but man oh man are winters loooooooooooooong. If I could live in the season of spring and fall always I would be happy, i like the changing seasons part just not the actual change.
We are actually in a pretty good pocket and usually do not get the massive snow falls, they typically stay to the north or south of us. But when we get it, it is BAD!
Jen--UGH! No, no, no to losing your power! We are on the edge of the storms and we are considering ourselves lucky.

Although, not wanting to add anymore snow days--I would be so fine with 1 or 2 T & W!

You don't want this kind of season, it has been HORRIBLE. Just one month ago we had torndoes here, now blizzards/ice storms in an extreme amount AND I say on the news today to the date 29 yrs ago is when we had our massive snowstorm of 1982, it was like 20" of snow! Crazy weather here in the St. Louis area! We are are actually right across the river from St. Louis on the IL side, but just 20 miles away or so..... Are you going to be moving to the midwest Tiffany? where? Oh and today we had a small amount of freezing rain, nothing major, but the massive storm is a coming lol! Supposed to start around 6am in the morning and continue throughout tomorrow If you watch the news keep an eye on St. Louis and think of me Actually there are several ladies from St. Louis here I think, so think of us!!

Earlier today our local weather said it would be possible that the Quad Cities would get anywhere from 12-17 inches.
Midwest weather is nuts!

I know it is, this year is crazy! The past 4 years or so haven't been very bad here and we really didn't get much weather, guess it's payback time lol!

Oh and sorry about that stupid ad at the top of our pages now. Proboards gave me 2 weeks free no ads but then after that I have to pay to have them taken off! I think I am going to make out intro banner logo bigger so it is more noticeable now!!

Jen, that's a crazy storm!! I hope and pray that you don't loose power, especially in such cold weather. Do you have a wood stove for heat, or just gas/electric? We just have electric, but my DH really wants to get a wood stove for the times when we're without power.
Tiff, you should move up north with me! We get all 4 seasons, and they're all usually pretty mild. The springs and autumns here are GORGEOUS, and the summers are warm, but not too hot. The only downfall is the winters...we tend to stay gray and cloudy, with only occasional sunny days (we had one today though!!). Also, so sorry about your weekend with your SD. I can't even imagine how hard I would have to bite my tongue if I had to deal with junk like that, especially on a regular basis. ((hugs))

Jenn - that's some crazy weather!! Wow....I can't imagine because I've only lived in CA (born and raised), OR (1 year) and AZ (5 years) and have never dealt with weather like that.
Leslie - I know...I love WA! Alot of my family on my dads side lives there. My cousin is a Pastor in Longview Washington and my Grandparents live and are buried in Camas. Do you know where either of those towns are?
Carrie - If we can sell our house, we plan to move to Indiana:-) We are shooting for Fall if I'm not pg by April. I rather not be pg when making a move that far. I'm OCD and like to do everything myself.

Leslie, we have gas/electric. We do have a fireplace that is gas and it will work when the power is out but the fan/blower is electric but still when it is on for several hours it puts off heat, so thank god we have that. We want to buy a generator just never have

Morning all. Off to take DS to the dentist today and then have to stock up on groceries. We are supposed to get the biggest storm of the year, 18+ inches possible by tomorrow night, but knowing weather men it will be less. Beth- so sorry about you and dh. I hope you can work it out. I also am in that boat right now kinda not agreeing on parenting styles. I am more strict and DH is more their friend and he ends up contradicting me in front of the kids. But cause of the bad night, I had a bad night of sleep/pvcs But that was emotions causing it.
