Tiff- I did all our own baby food. For fruits and veggies I either used canned that I pureed (unless I could get fresh) or if it was a meal we were eating, I had a food grinder that I took everywhere. The kids learned to eat what we were eating, I never made special meals just for them (unless they were sick). My kids are not that picky and I think having them eat "real food" really helped.
I never clothed diapered (mainly cause I did not have a washer/dryer till the 3rd was 3 months old). I have not decided if we will go that route. DH is not fond of it since his mom did cloth with his younger siblings and it was NOT a good experience

Kirsten, I really think that if you could get your hands on some cloth diapers that your DH would change his mind. Cloth dipes have come a LOOOOOOONG way even in the last 5 years, and these are not your mama's diapers anymore. No more pins and horrible plastic pants. *shudder*

DH and I were at Bed Bath and Beyond today. I saw this really cute nursery bedding set in the clearance section (down to $99 from $200) and I almost bought it. What is wrong with me? I can't believe I actually took it to the counter and was ready to pay for it before I came to my senses. What is worse is that DH didn't say NOT to buy it!

Shel, that's funny! My DH doesn't mind me making stuff for the (elusive) baby, but he has asked that I not buy anything yet. I can't wait until we finally get pg and get to go on a shopping spree together.

lol No, not yet. I'm too afraid to see a BFN, so I'm going to wait until I'm 10dpo.

Shel, I have done nearly the same thing! There are so many neat things on sale/clearance this time of year. I have to force myself to avoid the baby sections. The worst part is that we haven't even had the VR yet. And now that we have to wait until school out is driving me nuts!
