Leslie - start your 8 yr-old on Prima Latina. The others can start on Latina Christiana. I would just get the teacher's guide, workbook and flashcards. If you want to save $, you can skip the flash cards and just have the kids make their own on index cards. They will have about 10 new vocab words each week. I also recommend the audio cd unless you plan to buy the dvd. The dvd is great if you do not have any background in Latin or foreign languages. Because I had taught myself while working with my oldest using LRTEG, I did not need the DVDs, but they are very good. You may check homeschoolclassifieds.com for a used copy. You can get some GREAT deals there. Your 13 year old might find Latina Christiana too easy. Memoria Press has a new intermediate Latin curriculum you might check out on their website (can't remember what it's called). I'm just thinking she might think it's more age appropriate. Latina Christiana is geared more toward elementary students. I hope your family feels better soon.

Hi Ladies, I had another draw today and will get the results around 3pm today. the girls in the office said that I need to do the u/s next Monday to make sure the pg is in the uterus. I will talk to the nurse about it today because I don't see how 10 days is going to make a difference. Also, my progesterone is super high which means it is likely in the uterus. I guess we'll see what the nurse says.
Also, I signed up to run a half marathon on May 1st. I will be 11 weeks so I'm thinking that is still totally doable. I am so excited since this is my first 1/2 marathon.

Leslie, and Shel- teaching your kids latin so young is great. I took it for 4 yrs in middle and high school and it was wonderful. It made learning other languages so easy and also helped me understand the English language more. Also you are right to start them young. By the age of 13, the Language Acqusition Device that is in our brain (and yes that is what it is called) is almost completely shut off. They have actually found that at birth children can understand all languages and from 6 months to 13 yrs of age the ability to understand/learn various languages slowly decreases. If you start young, it creates different pathways in the brain and benefits all academic levels and makes future language learning easier. Ok enough of my language soap box Shel- praying for good numbers. On the U/S I think that if your numbers more than double in 48 hrs they like to make sure of placement, not to scare you. But this is why they watched mine so closely as if they went up or down atypically it could mean something. But mine were ok right up to the end. But I pray that you have a perfectly placed, healthy, sticky bean Anyone have a dream that you wish you could have someone interpret. I woke up at 6 am with horrid stomach pains and nausea, exactly what I get when in a healthy pregnancy. The pain is right where the esophagus comes into the stomach and goes away once i puke (which I did this am). I took a Zofran and went back to sleep for a few hours. During that time I had to of the oddest dreams, and I rarely remember my dreams. But these dreams I can remember vividly the smells, the tastes, the tactile things, the scenery, everything. 3 hours after waking I wrote them all out, that is how vivid in my mind they were. One prominent thing in both dreams was nutmeg, not sure what that is. I spoke with my mom and she thinks maybe God was speaking to me in dreams, wish I knew.

Here are my numbers thus far: 3/14 hcg 144 prog 56 3/17 hcg 531 prog 69 3/21 hcg 1913 prog 66 I asked about the progesterone dropping 3 ng/ml and the nurse said it is not a big deal at all because progesterone levels fluctuate every hour. I thought my hcg would have been a little higher based on the doubling rate we saw last week, but she said the levels are perfect. I will have my final beta on Thursday. I have had more than my fair share of bloodwork over the past several months so I'm glad I will get a break after Thursday Thanks for asking.

Diana - Good luck at your meeting tonight!
Hi everyone! Enjoying a beautiful spring day here. Couldn't ask for better weather on a day off. Trying to clean the house and do laundry, but I really want to be outside soaking up the sun. I opened some of the windows to let some fresh air in (and the pollen too I'm sure). Also waiting on AF to show. She's 2 days late and I'm always like clockwork, every 27 days. I felt like she was coming on Saturday and Sunday, but she never did show. I'm imagining that I probably O'ed later than I usually do since I quit using OPKs and I've never really temped consistently.

Shel - That would be awesome if I was, but I'm not counting on it. Dh asked me if I had POAS and I told him no because I don't have any. Told him I'm not even trying to think that I may be so I don't get disappointed when she shows in the next few days.
Okay ladies I need some prayers. Just got a call for a job interview for tomorrow afternoon at 4. Pray that it goes well for me. I get so nervous and tongue tied during them. Thanks y'all!

Diane- good luck on the meeting tonight. Cindy- praying for tomorrow and that AF takes a 9 month vacation. I am rather blah today and feeling lonely But I did get the book today that Emily's story is written up in, it is a awesome resource for parents of CHD children. Cindy, I pray that God removes any anxiety you may have about the interview and quiets your soul so that you get a good nights rest. I pray that He will give you the right words to say during the interview tomorrow and that you will indeed win this position if it is His will for you to do so. Lastly, I pray that you will have a sense of peace about this opportunity no matter the outcome. Amen. I am excited for you and I really do hope this is job is meant for you! Kirsten - I'm sorry you are feeling lonely today. Is there anyone IRL you can talk to about your loss? I felt that way so often so I can empathize with what you are going through. Nancy - Thanks for the support I am excited about the half. I've never really been this committed before. I decided to squeeze in a "quick" 3 miles between my kids' soccer/gymnastics and lacross practice and I do believe that was my fastest time this season! I just HAD to run, you know? You could do it. There is still time to train. Just start out slow. That is what I did. AFM, I have so much to do before our trip next week. It is spring sports season so we are running everywhere. We have a full weekend of a lacrosse double header and a Blue and Gold banquet (boy scouts crossover). Hopefully, I can fit laundrey and packing in there
